Coffee Protein Shake Recipes
An excellent addition to your morning routine, a coffee shake provides you with an extra boost of energy and supplies your body with protein to kickstart your metabolism.
Cold Brew Mocha Coffee Protein Shake
Ingredients:
- Handful of ice cubes
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup cold brew black coffee
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- Dash of simple syrup or honey for sweetener (optional)
Directions:
First add the almond milk, ice and protein power. Swirl this mixture around in your protein shaker bottle to prevent the powder from sticking to the bottom of the cup. Then, add the coffee, cocoa powder and simple syrup or honey. Be sure the agitator is screwed into the cap and the top is sealed tightly before shaking the bottle.
Vanilla Coffee Protein Shake
Ingredients:
- Handful of ice cubes
- 1 cup brewed coffee
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- Dash of simple syrup or honey for sweetener (optional)
Directions:
If you’re not using cold brew coffee, you must first brew coffee and allow it time to cool down. You can pour the hot coffee directly into the protein shaker, but you will need to use much more ice as it will melt quickly and water down the coffee. After the coffee has cooled, add the almond milk and protein powder to the shaker and swirl around. Add the rest of the ingredients and shake.
